Welkom!

Dutch is a Germanic language spoken by more than 23 million people. It is the official language of the Netherlands and Belgium, but is also spoken in Suriname (South America) and in former colonies, such as the Dutch Caribbean and Indonesia.

On the other hand, Afrikaans, which is the language spoken by millions of people in South Africa and Namibia, is very easy to understand if you know Dutch.
